Our committed team of doctors and trained specialists of the Diabetes Center is headed by Senior Physician Dr. Jörg Kaumann and manages therapy for patients for whom medication is difficult to adjust, and their intensive education.

Besides precisely recording the patient’s medical history, the team puts together key results of diabetes-related examinations, charts a course of therapy, and discusses it with the patient.

A sub-aspect of metabolic syndrome is diabetes, which causes obesity, blood pressure, and fatty liver due to excessive sugar intake and lack of physical activity.

We view these patients and their problems in a larger context.

In the liver consultation hour offered by chief physician Dr. Peter Schiedermaier, patients with obesity and fatty liver are examined, advised, and informed about a possible endoscopic treatment for obesity (intragastric balloon or endoscopic sleeve).
