Your Hospital Stay

For each of us, a hospital stay is an event that crucially affects our everyday life. We support you with our knowledge and our experience so that you will feel well taken care of and will soon feel better again.

As many things are different in a hospital than they are home, we have put together a hospital guide with important information for you and your family members. We want to make your stay at Nardini Klinikum as pleasant as possible. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact a member of our staff, who will be happy to assist you. What you should bring

Toiletries (tooth brush, shampoo, etc.)
Dentures with container
Bath robe and solid house shoes
Nightwear and underwear
Comfortable clothing for when you go home

Medication that you require on a daily basis, which you should then please show to the treating physician and the ward staff in order to discuss your medication during your stay
Medical aids such as walking aids or hearing aids
The admission slip from your family doctor or the referring doctor’s office

Optional services & extras

When you are admitted, you can arrange for additional optional services, for which you will need to pay via your private health insurance, via a supplementary insurance, or by yourself.

These optional services include accommodation in one- or two-bed rooms, treatment by the chief physician, accommodation and meals for a person accompanying you, as well as additional services in the areas of meals and service.

Our staff members in Admission will be glad to inform you about the costs of optional services.

Quiet times and visiting times

We are happy if your family members and friends come to visit you in the hospital. Pleasant visits also contribute to your recovery. However, quiet times are also necessary for recovery. Therefore, we ask you – also in the interest of your fellow patients – to refrain from visiting between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and after 8 p.m.

Our visiting hours are Monday – Sunday from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Television and radio

In all hospital rooms, the television and radio equipment can be used for free. To do so, you need to use a suitable headset, which you can also purchase at the Front Gate, if necessary. For safety reasons, we do not allow the use of personal television or radio devices.

Making phone calls

In order to avoid interference with electro-medical equipment, the use of mobile phones is not allowed in the hospital. However, you can, of course, get a personal phone set up in your room that is operated by card.

You can get the card by paying a deposit at Admission or at the Front Gate, and you can put credit on it in the lobby at the entrance.

Smoking

For health reasons, smoking is prohibited throughout the entire hospital and on the hospital grounds. In particular, we would like to point out that in order to protect non-smokers, we do not wish to have anyone smoke in front of the hospital entrance area. A smokers’ pavilion is available outside for smokers, which may be used by patients and family members.

If you are weakened by an illness or if you carry an IV pole around with you or have an oxygen tank with you (risk of explosion!), we ask you to refrain completely from smoking. As a matter of principle, our nursing staff cannot accompany you outside to the smokers‘ pavilion, and you should not risk any falls.
