Nephrology

Patients with kidney disorders from all departments are treated in close cooperation with the MVZ NephroCare dialysis practice.

Patients who need a dialysis can be quickly attended to beside concomitant therapies for other diseases during their hospital stay.

Hospitalized patients with diffuse kidney disorders or deteriorating kidney function will be co-treated early by a consultant nephrologist. This applies particularly to patients before and after operations or diagnostic interventions and intensive care patients.

In addition to acute dialysis, we offer other dialysis procedures.

Treatment spectrum

The spectrum covers surgery of internal and abdominal organs. Focus areas of services are endocrine surgery (surgery of glands), cancer surgery (tumor removal), and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.

Consultation services in nephrology and co-treatment of kidney disorders
Laboratory analysis of all kidney and electrolyte parameters as well as blood gases
Sonography (ultrasound examination) of the kidney and urinary organs
Blood flow measurement (using duplex sonography) of renal arteries
X-ray examination of kidneys (urography)
Computer tomography of the kidneys and urinary organs (if necessary, angiography)

Magnetic resonance imaging of the kidneys
Intensive care and therapy for acute and chronic kidney failure
Catheter procedure at start of acute dialysis
Cooperation with vascular surgeons for shunt placement
Initiation and execution of various dialysis procedures (e.g. peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis)
