Certification according to EndoCert®

The Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery was successfully certified as a Maximum Care Endoprosthetics Center according to “EndoCert®” at the end of 2013.

The "EndoCert®“ system developed by the renowned certification institute ClarCert is the first certification system worldwide for medical facilities in the area of joint replacement. It ensures continually high quality in endoprosthetic care and continues to refine and expand this care.

Certification was performed in accordance with the nationally valid quality criteria of the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC) as well as the Society and the Professional Association for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU and BVOU). The standards of these expert bodies ensure the highest levels of quality, specialization, and competence in joint replacement surgery for the patients and thus boost optimal treatment success.

Permanent Quality Assurance

The Endoprosthetics Center is obliged to comply with various quality indicators prescribed by the professional associations and to monitor these continually. The quality indicators listed below as well as additional ones are recorded every year, are evaluated comprehensively, and are checked once a year by two external professional experts qualified to perform certification.

The awarded certificate allows patients to see for themselves that the Endoprosthetics Center at Nardini Klinikum Landstuhl has addressed the issue of artificial joint replacement in cases of coxarthrosis and gonarthrosis intensively and that the quality requirements of the professional associations are being complied with.
